Founded in 2010 by Joerg Schmitz, the Inclusive Leadership Institute emerged from a career-defining insight: teams don't fail from lack of talent. They fail from failure to leverage difference.

After decades of research into organizational culture and intercultural dynamics, the evidence was clear that a defining feature of successful teams is the ability to transform diverse perspectives into collaborative advantage.

This realization led to the development of Teamscape®.

Designed exclusively for teams within organizational, business, or professional settings and based on a structured, diagnostic assessment of team dynamics.

Why Teamscape?

The name Teamscape is inspired by the fusion of three powerful ideas: teaming, culture shaping, and landscaping.

Just as landscaping involves intentionally shaping an environment to support growth, functionality, and thriving, Teamscape reflects the process of teams and/or working groups coming together to co-create an ecosystem with intentionality, care and purpose.

It suggests that teams, like environments, can be designed, nurtured, and transformed—shaped to thrive in complexity, adapt to change, and foster connection.
